Kakaley drives 103rd winner at Dover meet

Matt Kakaley moved into three digits in wins this meet by driving My Man to victory in a $16,000 pace for 4 and 5 year olds on Thursday at Dover Downs.
My Man, with Kakaley piloting, atoned for breaking stride in the stretch last week by scoring a convincing 1:57.1 triumph. The 4-year-old son of Malabar Man-In To Me was the third of four wins for Kakaley, lifting his win total to 103, third highest this meet.
Dawn Gannon, Yannick Gingras and Dom Costanzo own My Man, who picked up his second win this year to go with a second and two thirds in six races for trainer Ed Gannon Jr. The trotter has won $31,935 in 2012 and $38,174 lifetime. Cash On Delivery (Vince Copeland) was second best. Act One (George Dennis) got up for third.
Kakaley's fourth win came escorting Fearless Diablo to a powerful 1:52 victory by open lengths in an $11,400 pace for 3, 4 and 5 year olds. A.H. Kaplan, Don Kakely and Claim To Fame own the son of Art Major-Terrific Spice, now a three-time winner this year. Of his career earnings of $26,835, $23,835 has been earned in 2012. The Onlyest One (George Dennis) was runner-up. Atomic Bliss (Daryl Bier) saw a two-race win streak snapped with a third-place finish.
In addition to Kakaley's four wins, Victor Kirby had a driving double. (Dover Downs)
