Two-year-old colt trotter Ken Warkentin made his first pari-mutuel appearance Tuesday night since capturing the New Jersey Sire Stakes final at the Meadowlands July 21, winning a conditioned event at Woodbine in 1:58.2, last quarter in :28.1. Trainer Jimmy Takter was in the bike for the half-length win.
Following that Sire Stakes victory, owners John Fielding and Christina Takter sold a half interest in the freshman son of Yankee Glide named for the Meadowlands announcer to Swedish interests andNational Hockey League star Tie Domi, who currently plays for the Toronto Maples Leafs.
