Trainer Dave Sabatelli is putting Four Starzzz King back into training after some time off. The 3-year-old gelded son of The Panderosa last raced May 30 when he finished second in the final of the Provincial Cup at Windsor.

"It's been an amazing year for Four Starzzz King, who I think is probably in the top five 3 year olds in the country right now," said Jeff Cohen, who co-owns along with Mike Sudaley as FS Starzzzz Stable. A winner of only two of six starts last year, he put himself in the 3-year-old spotlight this year with eight early season victories in 12 starts, earnings of $312,445 and a record of 1:51.

"He got a little more time off than (Four Starzzz) Shark did after the Provincial Cup," Sabatelli explained. "He traveled probably 3,000 miles in 10 days. Lots of shipping, lots of trucks and it just got to him. He was getting a break anyway because he wasn't eligible to the Meadowlands Pace or the North America Cup."

Four Starzzz King returned to Sabatelli's barn Monday (June 21) from his rest at Walnridge Farms where "they did a wonderful job with him. He came back looking like a new horse again," Sabatelli said. "He'll probably qualify two weeks before the Oliver Wendell Homes and then race, hopefully, in a 3-year-old open the week before the Oliver Wendell Homes and then race in the Holmes. After that he's got the Confederation Cup and the Cane and then the Jug."
