Stonebridge Luau, a 2-year-old half sister to the top open mare pacer Stonebridge Kisses, won her first career race Tuesday night at Mohawk Racetrack, capturing a $15,000 race restricted to members of her division in 1:55.2. With Mike Saftic driving, Stonebridge Luau led wire to wire, holding on by a neck over Texas Sweetheart and Letmedowneasy.

A daughter of Island Fantasy-Twointhemorning, Stonebridge Luau is trained by Doug Brown for owner Kenneth Morden. Her 5-year-old Artiscape sister Stonebridge Kisses has won more than $300,000 of her career $450,000 in earnings this year. Included among her nine victories this year is a win in the $80,000 Ellamony Invitational last February at the Meadowlands and a career-best 1:50.2 effort at Mohawk in June.
