The Kentucky Equine Drug Research Council met at The Red Mile clubhouse in Lexington Tuesday afternoon to further discuss proposed race-day medication policies for the Bluegrass state. There was no vote on proposed fines and suspensions for drug and milk shaking offenses as council chairwoman Connie Whitfield wanted the council to gather more information on the subject. A vote could come as early as the council's next meeting in mid April.

Walnut Hall Limited's Alan Leavitt, who chairs the council's committee to draw up proposed penalties, presented a list of fines and suspensions for milkshakes as well as three drug class offenses. Leavitt's presentation also included 10 proposed rules for medication regulations and the consequences for violations.
