The New York Sire Stakes Program has released an updated racing schedule with changes to four upcoming events for Sire Stakes and Excelsior Series competitors. The revised schedule can be found here.

Two of the changes come as a result of the delayed opening of Monticello Raceway. The first two events originally scheduled at that track on July 27 and Aug. 3 are being relocated. While the hope is that Monticello opens soon, should the uncertainty of opening continue, there is a plan in place to relocate the remaining two NYSS dates in the future, if necessary.

The date changes at Saratoga Hotel and Casino come as a result of a change in the track’s racing calendar.
The changes by division are listed below:
  • 2-Year-Old Colt Trotters
    • Monday, July 27 at Monticello changed to Sunday, July 26 at Tioga Downs.
    • Saturday, August 8 at Saratoga changed to Monday, August 10 at Saratoga.
  • 3-Year-Old Colt Pacers
    • Thursday, September 3 at Saratoga changed to Tuesday, September 1 at Saratoga.
  • 3-Year-Old Filly Pacers
    • Monday, August 3 at Monticello changed location to Yonkers Raceway on same date.
