July 05, 2006

Rosecroft Raceway was forced to cancel its final four races on Tuesday night, including it\'s $11,300 Preferred Pace, due to the outage of a portion of racetrack lighting. Violent electrical storms have peppered the Washington D.C. area over the past few days, and have caused numerous power outages.

North America’s leading dash-winning driver, Tony Morgan, made his first start at Rosecroft last night and won three races on the card, including a wire-to-wire score with Jasper Bob in a $10,200 Open Pace, in which Jasper Bob left from post position five and never looked back; he equaled his lifetime mark when he won in 1:51.4.
