Lindy Racing and Bob Rudolph's Lindy's Tru Grit was victorious in the feature at Harrah's Philadelphia on Thursday afternoon, a winners-over $25,000 lifetime trot going for a purse of $25,000.
Lindy's Tru Grit, a 5-year-old son of Cantab Hall, settled down in the pocket behind favorite Wind Of The North (David Miller). They maintained the top positions until the head of the stretch, when Lindy's Tru Grit vacated the pocket. The Julie Miller trainee was able to hold off the stretch drive of longshot Team Six (Marcus Miller) winning it by a little more than a length, stopping the clock in 1:54.
The winner paid $12, keying a $171.60 exacta. Opening Night (John Campbell) finished third. (Harrah's Philadelphia)
