Lonesome Day and David Miller moved into the lead before the half and went on to score an impressive 1:53.1 victory in the $330,000 Sweetheart final for 2-year-old filly pacers Friday night at the Meadowlands.

Miller moved the daughter of Cambest into the lead before the :55.4 half then was joined on the outside by Knock Yourself Out and George Brennan. The two raced head to head past the three quarters in 1:25 before Lonesome Day used a :28.1 final panel to pull away from the field. At the wire she was 2 1/2 lengths ahead of Knock Yourself Out while My Angel Lou and Ron Pierce used a second-over trip after the half to finish third.

This was the second victory in three starts for the filly owned by the Let It Ride Stable and trainer Ross Croghan.
