Loyal Opposition, driven by George Brennan, rallied from third-over in a relatively slow final quarter and won the Breeders Crown Mare Pace in 1:51 over Glowing Report and Burning Point.

Canadian millionairess Invitro started from post eight and left quickly to take the early lead, then yielded to betting favorite Burning Point before the :54.1 half. The 11-mares were lined up two abreast through the last turn but when they hit the straightaway Loyal Opposition had the most late kick and hit the wire first.

Loyal Opposition races under the name of Daniel Waxman. She now has eight wins in 14 starts this season.
