Magician didn't need any magic to win the $250,000 Classic Open for trotters. He simply wired the field, winning in 2:26.4.

Magician got off to a late start this season due to injuries but has now won five straight races. His last defeat came when he finished second behind Rotation in the American National at Balmoral Park.

Luc Ouellette drove Magician for trainer Earl Cruise and owner William Augenstein. Ouellette went on to win the trotting Classic Distaff with Scully FBI.
