The Bangor (Maine) Daily News has reported that local police have said Edwin "Ed" Reynolds, 64, was killed Wednesday afternoon at Bangor Raceway after the starting gate vehicle struck him while he was on the track. There was no racing taking place at the track at the time of the accident, not betting races or qualifiers.
