Manofmanymissions, who will attempt to redeem himself from a miscue in the Hambletonian, has been installed as the 2-1 morning line favorite from post 10 in the fourth race, one of a quartet of $175,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Finals on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the Meadowlands.

A total of $700,000 in New Jersey Sire Stakes purses will be distributed to determine the champions in all four three-year-old categories.

Manofmanymissions, driven by Andy Miller and trained by Erv Miller, was the favorite in last Saturday’s $1.5 million Hambletonian.  He was sitting second when he broke stride in the stretch and faded to eighth.

The son of Yankee Glide had won both a Stanley Dancer division and his Hambletonian elimination in recent weeks.  He has three wins in six starts this year and seven in 12 lifetime for earnings of $567,400.

Whiskey Tax by Revenue, who was second to Broad Bahn in the Hambletonian, has been rated at 4-1 from the rail.

In the three-year-old colt pace, carded as the sixth, freshman divisional champion and North America Cup runner up Big Jim has been given the 5-2 nod from post six with Phil Hudon driving.  The son of Western Ideal is trained by James “Friday” Dean.

Shadyshark Hanover, a son of Cam’s Card Shark, turned in a sizzling 1:47.4 clocking in his last start, winning a division of the Oliver Wendell Holmes.  The Erv Miller trainee, recently put into the hands of Jim Morrill Jr., has finished in the money in six of eight starts this year and 15 of 20 lifetime for earnings of $654,251.

The filly divisions, pacers in the second and trotters in the third, feature Krispy Apple by Western Ideal as the 9-5 favorite in her event and Hey Mister by Muscles Yankee as the slight 3-1 choice in her division.

The New Jersey Sire Stakes Finals, each worth $175,000, in post position order with sire, driver [prior to scratches and changes], trainer and early morning line.
