After getting into the flow third-over at the half, Marietta Hall held on gamely to the wire to win the $50,750 White Ruffles Pace Final in 1:53.4 Thursday night at the Meadowlands. George Brennan drove Marietta Hall, filling in for Tim Tetrick, who was unable to drive due to a suspension.

Marietta Hall held off Martha Brown, who popped the pocket and tried to take the lead, but couldn\'t get past her rival. Marietta Hall won by a neck. Fox Valley Sarong finished third.

Marietta Hall, a 4-year-old daughter of Cambest, is trained by Steve Elliott and owned by Bulletproof Enterprises. The mare has now won two of four starts this year after putting together a 14-4-2-2 slate as a 3 year old. (Meadowlands)
