Driver Mario Baillargeon and John Dilinger overcame post 11 to capture Monday\'s $18,000 second leg of the Ontario Boys Pacing Series at Woodbine Racetrack.

Baillargeon and the 4-year-old son of DM Dilinger got away sixth and stayed there through an opening quarter in :26.3. From there they moved to the outside and sat fifth behind Kg Wrangler in the second quarter and moved into fourth through a third quarter reached in 1:25.4. Ramegade Bruiser and Kg Wrangler rallied for the win in the final quarter but in the end it was John Dilinger who hit the wire first by two lengths, with Stonebridge Wish getting up for second and Ramegade Bruiser settling for third.

The mile was timed in 1:53.1, and it was the first win in eight starts this year for John Dilinger, who is trained by Gaetan Hebert. He was third in his first leg division of the Ontario Boys Pacing Series, and John Dilinger now boasts over $18,000 in seasonal earnings for Paul Jackson of Bobcaygeon, Ont. (WEG)
