Maywood Pace elims held

Live Out Loud and Enemy At The Gate scored victories in Maywood Pace eliminations Friday night (June 11) in Chicago.

In the first $10,000 elimination Live Out Loud (Dale Hiteman) sat a pocket trip while He Does It All (Peter Wrenn) cut fractions of :28.2, :56.3 and 1:26. In the lane Live Out Loud challenged the leader and prevailed at the wire by a head in 1:54.4. Coldheartedrevenge ((Patrick Berry) was third and Gar (Bent Holland) also advanced to the final.

This was the third victory in five starts this year for the 3-year-old gelded son of Art’s Conquest owned by M & M Harness Racing and trainer David McCaffrey.

In the second elimination, ML’s Boy (Tony Morgan) cut fractions of :27, :56.1 and 1:24.3 before being engaged by Enemy At The Gate (Dave Magee) in the stretch. With the two horses going head to head ML’s Boy went off stride and Enemy At The Gate went on to win in 1:52.3. ML’s Boy finished second with Hot Bet (Berry) third and Sperky’s Fire (Gary Rath) fourth.

J.B. Lowe, Hunt Harness Horses, William Beck and Ronald Desyllas own the winning Cole Muffler gelding trained by Tom Simmons. Winner of the Cardinal Stakes, Enemy Of The Gate has put together a five-race winning streak in six starts this year.
