The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is still managing an outbreak of equine herpes virus (EHV-1) at The Meadows that erupted on Jan. 22, but the track is set to begin racing again this weekend, with cards drawn for both Friday and Saturday. Post time for Friday's card is 5:30 p.m. with a matinee on Saturday (1:05 p.m. post time). The track has not raced since Jan. 27.
In addition, barring any problems, ship-ins may enter the box to race for Wednesday, Feb.  28. Health papers and 2018 Coggins certificates are a must!  Ship-ins must go directly to the paddock after unloading. No extra horses will be admitted to the backstretch.

There are still barns under quarantine at The Meadows and the Department of Agriculture is evaluating the situation daily.
