Mich. horseman Adam Kane, 59, passes

Adam Patrick Kane 59, passed away peacefully on Friday March 1st. Adam was born on March 18 1959 to Larry & Betty (Hart) Kane. He graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1977.
Adam served in the United States Army, owned and trained many standardbred racehorses, drove semi for C&W horse transport, bartender, plant supervisor and most of all he was a great son, brother and friend.
Surviving Adam is his mom Betty Kane, brothers Tom (Kathleen) Kane, John (Mary) Kane, Chris (Rose) Kane and sister Kate (Don) Marotta. His nephews Donald, Robert, Jordan, Jeffrey, Connor & Grady. His nieces Jessica, Lauren, Hillary, Calypso, Remington and Emerson. Adam also had many “great” nieces and nephews that also survive him. He was affectionately known as “Uncle Buck” to them and he absolutely loved each and everyone of them.
Adam loved spending time with his friends going to the horse races and playing cards (poker was his favorite). Adam was a former member of the United States Trotting Association and the Michigan Harness Horsemen’s Association as were his Grandpa Kane and his Dad Larry.
One of Adam’s very favorite pastimes was watching high school wrestling. He was a great supporter of Fowlerville High School wrestling team attending numerous meets.
A celebration of Adam’s life will be held on April 28th from 2-5pm at the Fowlerville VFW Hall.
