More NYSS late closers at Batavia Downs

Five divisions of New York-bred Late Closers, including two non-wagering events, for 3-year-old colt and gelding trotters, worth $13,300 each, highlighted the Wednesday (Aug-10) program at Batavia Downs Casino.
 
Wanda Polisseni’s Purple Haze stables is loaded in the 3-year-old NY bred trotting ranks with ultra talented Dejarmbro and I’m the Answer and she have another good one in the quickly improving Hallin Cash.
 
Taking full advantage of his rail post draw, Hallin Cash (Cash Hall-Conways Jewel) with trainer/driver Dan Daley in the bike, went down the road to a much the best 2-3/4 length score in 2:01.3. That final time included a final stanza of :28.4.
 
“He did it easy, he was good tonight,” reinsman Daley said in the winner’s circle.
 
This was the third win of the season for Hallin Cash ($2.60) and he raised his 2011 bankroll to $38,487.

The New York Sire Stakes season takes a short break but resumes at America’s oldest lighted harness track on August 26 with 3-year-old filly pacers taking center stage in both sire stakes and late closing events.
