Morgan takes Dover Opens

Tony Morgan drove Apache Dame to a 1:51.2 victory in the $24,000 Open Pace for fillies and mares at Dover Downs Tuesday.

Apache Dame led at every station before kicking home in :28.3 en route to holding off Shake Away, who settled for second, ending her four-race winning streak. Pacific Illusion finished third.

The 5-year-old daughter of Apaches Fame is owned by the WJH McDougall Racing Inc. and Paul McDougall. The win boosted the Tim Crissman trainee\\\'s career bankroll to $242,519.

Morgan also captured the $18,000 Mares Jr. Open with Time Flies N, who toyed with seven foes in a sharp clocking of 1:53. The 7-year-old daughter of In The Pocket recorded her second win in four outings this season for Wayne Pryor and Wendy Crissman.
