The Kentucky Standardbred Development Fund, through the Kentucky Sire Stakes Advisory Panel, approved a new series for the Fall 2020 Oak Grove meet for all 2- and 3-year-old horses that made all sustaining payments to be eligible for the 2020 Kentucky Sire Stakes program and 2020 Kentucky Fair program.
The series will be contested with one leg and a final.
The leg divisions will be raced for a purse of $15,000 each (split to $10,000 minimum) and a final of $25,000. The finals all take place on Sunday (Nov. 15) and will be contested with eight horses on the gate.
Further details can be obtained from the Oak Grove race office.
“We are really excited about the new $225 million-plus Oak Grove Racing and Gaming Complex. With all that has happened in 2020, we wanted to help horsemen out that may have missed opportunities and also provide everyone with the opportunity to see the new track and amazing complex,” said Bob Brady, president of the Kentucky Harness Association.
