There is no shortage of harness racing this weekend as tracks across the continent are now back and in full swing. With 36 races on tap Friday and Saturday, the Meadowlands will be teeming with action, and on Friday night, the rivalry between trotting mares Atlanta and Manchego resumes. Drivers Yannick Gingras (Atlanta) and Dexter Dunn (Manchego) give their thoughts about the match-up in the new and free HarnessRacing Weekend Preview.

New Jersey Sires Stakes for 3 year olds finally get underway Friday at the Big M and George Ducharme gives the inside scoop about Fortune Starlet. Also, Joe Holloway talks about his 4-year-old pacing mare standout Zero Tolerance, who is also in to go at the Meadowlands. Find out why trainer Marty Wollam said looks can be deceiving when you check out his 3-year-old filly trotter Jogging Ms Lucy, who goes to post Friday at Northfield Park.

Be sure to read Gordon Waterstone’s First Over column as he writes about his conversations earlier this week with George Teague Jr. and Dewayne Minor regarding the very few numbers of African-Americans who participate in harness racing.
