The beat goes on at Woodbine Mohawk Park as the Ontario racetrack is the site of more stakes finals this weekend, including the Goodtimes and Elegantimage, as well as eliminations for others. In the new and free HarnessRacing Weekend Preview, trainer Gregg McNair talks about his chances in the elims for the Metro for 2-year-old male pacers with Bettor Sun, who won the Battle of Waterloo early last month at Grand River Raceway. One horse missing from the Metro is American Courage, and trainer Travis Alexander gives an update after the freshman suffered a bout of atrial fibrillation last weekend in the New York Sires Stakes final.

Twenty-eight-year-old Scott Young won the biggest race of his career last weekend when he directed On A Streak to an upset score in the William Wellwood Memorial. He spoke to Kathy Parker about his big moment in the spotlight. At the Meadowlands, plenty of 2 year olds are in action in the opening round of the Kindergarten Series, and trainer Chris Ryder talks about his chances with recent New York Excelsior Series champion filly pacer Dresden, as well as the return of Grant Teton after a 17-month layoff.

We’ve got an overview of Saturday’s big Illinois Super Night card at Hawthorne as well as a look at Sunday’s rich Kentucky Sires Stakes championship program at The Red Mile. You can also find a schedule for next week’s Little Brown Jug fun at Delaware, Ohio. New whipping rules have been approved in New Jersey. Hall of Fame trainer Jimmy Takter talks about his advisory role to Philip Antonacci as the famed Lindy Farms adds to its Thoroughbred Stable. And USTA president Russell Williams has issued a statement noting that the USTA has obtained legal advice that the newly-proposed Horseracing Integrity & Safety Act is unconstitutional.
