Elite Sorority, a 2-year-old pacing filly whose dam is a half sister to 1982 pacing star Ideal Society, captured a $150,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes final at the Meadowlands Wednesday night. Her winning time was 1:54.4.

Elite Sorority's sire is Cam's Card Shark. The filly took control of the race just before the halfway mark and went on to win by 2 3/4 lengths. She had finished second in her previous Sire Stakes leg.

Brian Brown trains Elite Sorority for owner Irving Bork of Woodside, N.Y.

Unspoken, who started from post nine, finished second. Dreams Are Great, the betting favorite, broke stride at the start and finished ninth.
