December 22, 2017

« Return to News

Although you will have to wait until Feb. 25 at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, Fla., to find out who is the 2017 Horse of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Trotter of the Year, you can find out who the 12 divisional Dan Patch Award champions are in the new and free HarnessRacing Weekend Preview.

Two of the winners were unanimous choices, while one missed sweeping the ballot box by just one vote, and we have all the names and all the vote totals.

There has also been talk that Yonkers Raceway may pack up and move to Belmont Park, and Joe Faraldo spoke to Kathy Parker about the possibility. Parker also caught up with new Hambletonian Society president John Campbell. On the racetrack, Michigan-based Greg Horn sends his consistent pacer Grandkids Attack to battle at Northfield Park, while Down Under native Ross Croghan is candid about his 3-year-old trotter Lothario, who is set to line up behind the gate on Friday at the Meadowlands.

There is also plenty more to read in the new Weekend Preview. On behalf of all of us at Horseman Publishing Co., have a Merry Christmas.

And of course, you're going to want to follow all the racing action, so please click here to go straight to the FREE download of HarnessRacing Weekend Preview, which will link you to program pages downloads of the feature races, courtesy of TrackMaster. You can also sign up to receive the FREE Weekend Preview in your email box.
