New Weekend Preview: WIJI to miss more time!

January 04, 2018

In the new and free HarnessRacing Weekend Preview, George Teague Jr. reveals why he scrapped plans this week to qualify the 2015 Horse of the Year Wiggle It Jiggleit as the 6-year-old pacer attempts to return to the races after being off since October 2016. Continued back issues have kept WIJI in the barn and will now likely keep him there for an undetermined amount of time.

"It's the same story it's been for the past 14 months, and he's not going to qualify until he's 100 percent. And he's still not 100 percent," said Teague. "I wanted to test the water with three qualifiers and see if everything was how they seemed to be. I didn't want to make the stakes payments without a chance of him racing."
Read the full story about WIJI in the new Weekend Preview. Also, recently-named Owner of the Year Bruce Trogdon talks about plans for his mare pacer Jerseylicious, who is set to race on Friday night at Miami Valley. Find out who Trogdon plans to breed Jerseylicous to this spring.
