Driver Allan Davis registered his 2,000th career win aboard Nice Trip ($6) Tuesday (June 27) in 1:55.4 at Harrington Raceway.

Nice Trip edged clear of pacesetter Together Again N in mid-stretch for her third win of the season, giving Davis, the Smyrna, Del., native, the milestone. Davis, 41, is currently third in the Harrington driver standings behind Victor Kirby and Ross Wolfenden.

Brian Malone's Hostess Lisa ($16, Tony Morgan) was an upset winner in 1:54 in the $17,500 Mares Open.

St Kitts, last week's winner, was a loose leader early at odds of 14-1 to an opening quarter in 27.4. She led the field of seven pacers to the half-mile in 56.2 while favorite Newborn Sassy mounted a second-over attack. St Kitts remained the boss to three-quarters in 1:25.2 while Newborn Sassy, Hostess Lisa and Apple Bottom Jeans circled up wide on the final turn.

Hostess Lisa split horses late and was a narrow winner over Newborn Sassy and Apple Bottom Jeans. Hostess Lisa, a daughter of Sagebrush, was trained by her owner to her 33rd career win. (Harrington)
