According to a story in the Delaware (Ohio) Gazette, the Delaware County Fair Board is exploring the idea of racing at night in an effort to boost attendance.

A sub-committee of the Delaware County Fair Board has held preliminary discussions on a proposal to run some of the fair’s horse races during the evening hours — specifically Monday and Tuesday, said Phil Terry, fair manager. Portal lights would have to be rented to light the half-mile oval.

Attendance at the fair is lower on those days since many people are working. Read the complete article on The Delaware Gazette website.
