At his daily press briefing on Monday, June 22, New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy said casinos and racetracks can reopen at 25 percent capacity Thursday, July 2. The racetracks can take bets in-person at their sportsbooks and lounges, as long as they follow gathering limits, he said.
The announcements come as New Jersey continues with Stage 2 of its reopening plan. On July 2, the state will also permit indoor dining at 25 percent capacity. The current limit for in-door gatherings is 100 people.
