Driver Jeff Gregory showed no effects from his recent bout with chicken pox that kept him out of action for nearly two weeks as he directed two of the three winners in New York Sire Stakes competition for 3-year-old colt and gelding pacers at Saratoga Harness Saturday night.

Gregory scored his first win with Michael Scores, who delivered a wire-to-wire decision in 1:55.1 in the first $42,845 split. Morning Magic (Brian Cross) was second, with Vantastic Wizzard (Kyle DeBenedetto) third.

A gelded son of Held For Ransom, Michael Scores is trained by James Compton, who co-owns with Sandra Compton. The win was his fourth straight and seventh of the year in 11 starts.

Gregory also scored with Chart Carrier, who won his $42,845 division in 1:56. Raining Again (Howard Okusko Jr.) was second, with Annivesary Guy (Henry Westbrook) third.

Chart Carrier, a gelded son of Magical Mike, has lost just once in nine starts in 2004 after an unraced freshman year. Ribbonships of E. Brunswick, N.J. bred and own Chart Carrier, who won his fourth straight for trainer Jeff Smith.

Maxie's David won the third $42,845 division in 1:57 for trainer-driver Brian Cross. Riddler's Revenge (Dan Cappell) was second, with Eastern Bull (Okusko) third.
