Due to a contract impasse with the Ontario Harness Horse Association (OHHA), Hiawatha Horse Park in Sarnia, Ont., has closed for simulcasting. The OHHA website has a notice posted that states: “Due to the unsigned agreement, OHHA has decided to close down all simulcast and HPI wagering through Hiawatha Horse Park.”
According to reports, OHHA president Darryl MacArthur said the impasse with the racetrack is a result of “a difference in opinions.”
