Ohio budget plan includes executive order for racetrack VLTs

Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland on Friday afternoon announced he has reached a legislative agreement for a two-year budget that includes an executive order to allow slot machines at the state’s seven racetracks.

Ohio\'s Lottery director to expeditiously take all necessary actions to implement video lottery terminals at racetracks. Published reports state it is unknown when Gov. Strickland will sign the executive order, but it is expected before Tuesday when the second of two, weeklong extensions of the state budget expires.
