Although all parties concerned weren't completely satisfied, the Ohio Racing Commission on Thursday awarded 2005 racing dates, including 507 harness programs at the four Standardbred tracks, a total decrease of 17 dates from 2004.

Cleveland's Northfield Park was granted 203 dates, 10 more than were assigned at a Nov. 2 meeting, and track COO and executive vice president Tom Aldrich voiced his objections, citing statutory prohibitions to the reduction from the 220 dates requested.

Raceway Park in Toledo was granted 116 dates; Scioto Downs in Columbus was granted 95 dates; and Lebanon Raceway in Lebanon was granted 93 dates.
