One Tough Lass sells for $475,000

One Tough Lass, who won the Kentucky Futurity Filly Stakes this fall at The Red Mile in 1:52.4, was sold for $475,000 to Herb Liverman and Melvin Hartman Friday afternoon during the mixed portion of the Standardbred Horse Sales auction in Harrisburg. Peninsula Farm consigned One Tough Lass, acting as agent for owners David Neumeister and Jon Erdner.
One Tough Lass is a daughter of Muscles Yankee and the Pine Chip mare Timberlassie. Timberlassie has also produced Workout Doll 3, 1:55.2, a winner of $194,515. One Tough Lassie\'s third dam is Aunt Hilda, the granddam of the great Peace Corps.
One Tough Lass is eligible to compete in the upcoming Breeders Crown.
Also of note, Satin Pillows, a 3-year-old filly by Conway Hall out of Bold Dreamer, was purchased by Bill Weaver\'s Valley High Stables for $250,000. Preferred Equine Marketing consigned the filly on behalf of Jeffrey Snyder and Lothlorien Equestrian Centre. Valley High Stables also bred Satin Pillows and had sold her as a yearling to Snyder and Lothlorien for $350,000.
