ORC suspends 4 more

The Ontario Racing Commission (ORC) has announced the fines and suspensions for four more trainers—Alfred Carroll, Richard Carroll, Todd Clements and Dan McFadden—for the class 3 drug Torsemide, a diuretic that has not yet been approved for use in Canada or the United States.
Alfred Carroll was fined $1,500 and suspended March 16 through June 13 for a positive on his horse Chase Your Dreams at Windsor Raceway Jan. 28. Richard Carroll was fined $1,500 and suspended April 12 through Aug. 9 for a positive on his horse TNT at Windsor Jan. 27. Dan McFadden was fined $2,000 and suspended from March 16 through Aug. 12 for a positive on his horse Whopper at Windsor Jan. 27.
Todd Clements was given a $4,000 fine and suspension from March 18 through Sept. 14 for two positive tests at Woodbine Feb. 1. No specific horse was listed under Clements’ posted ruling.
