Three-year-old filly trotter Peaceful Way set a Rideau Carleton track record for her division with a 1:56 victory in an Ontario Sire Stakes Gold elimination Thursday night. Chris Christoforou directed the daughter of Angus Hall to the 3 1/4-length win.

Actually, MIss Michelle H, a daughter of King Conch, broke the track standard with a 1:56.1 victory in the first OSS Gold elim. Rod Allen drove the filly to the wire-to-wire score that bested Elegantimage's previous track mark of 1:56.3 set in 1997.

Miss Michelle H's time was then bettered by Peaceful Way, which also set an OSS record for her division over a five-eighths mile track, lowering the previous mark by one-fifth of a second.
