Ouellette, Big M updates in Weekend Preview!
« Return to News
The name Luc Ouellette has been one of the biggest in harness racing for many years now, even after he returned to his native country of Canada a while back after huge seasons competing at the Meadowlands and Yonkers. Returning to Canada also led to spending more time with his family, and that in turn led to reduced time in the sulky. In the new and free HarnessRacing Weekend Preview, Ouellette reveals why he hasn't climbed into the sulky yet in 2016, and about his chances with a pair of 3-year-old pacers he trains in series finals at Woodbine on Friday night.
Also, the driver and trainer leaderboards at the Meadowlands have changed quite a bit from 2015 to 2016, and we go inside the numbers. Things may be changing drastically in Florida, including the strong possibility of the closure of Pompano Park for harness racing, if decoupling legislation passes the state legislature. We've got an update for you to read. And Andrea Pietrzak Stretch Call takes a look at the success Western Fair in Ontario has had thus far in 2016.
And we've gone to the dogs. The Westminster show, actually. Read about Striker, who was named a breed champion at this week's world famous show, who is owned by Rick and Regina Beinhauer, horsemen based at The Meadows.
