PA gets OK to race; Meadows resumes Monday

Harness racing will be resuming in Pennsylvania soon following approval of health and safety protocols from the Pennsylvania Department of Health late Wednesday. As of Thursday morning, no starting date for racing had been announced for any track.
Pennsylvania Secretary of Health Rachel L. Levine, M.D., notified racetracks and the Pennsylvania Horse Racing Commission via email that she had approved the protocols.
On Thursday morning, The Meadows advised horsemen it would resume racing Monday, June 15, and race Tuesday, June 16, Thursday, June 18, and Saturday, June 20, with a 12:45 post time for each card. A double draw will be conducted Friday for the Monday and Tuesday programs.
