Palone Ranger gets win

Palone Ranger, a 2-year-old colt by Western Ideal, picked up his first career victory with an impressive 1:51.3 score in a Champlain division Saturday night at Mohawk.



Palone Ranger had finished second in his only two previous starts, a New Jersey Sire Stakes and the Smullin Memorial. In the Champlain he won by a comfortable 2 1/2 lengths for trainer Chris Ryder and driver David Miller.
