Peaceful Way showed she is back at the top of her game when she won her Delvin Miller elim in 1:53.3 with authority at the Meadowlands last Friday night. But she didn't get to that point without a little extra attention from trainer David Tingley.

Peaceful Way turned in her impressive effort in just her second start this year.

"It was a remarkable performance," Tingley said. "I was very pleased. She seems great. I haven't seen a brush up the backside like that. I've seen it from pacers, but not trotters. I hope I can keep her healthy and she continues on. Things are on the upswing."

Tingley said the filly's break in stride early this year was because she hit herself, so he worked on her shoeing. Also, she had suffered a bout of tying up, and he changed her feed.

Peaceful Way went offstride in her first race of this year on June 4 in a Casual Breeze division and was scratched sick from a start in an OSS Gold elim on July 2.

Peaceful Way will be back to the Meadowlands on Friday night for the $325,000 Delvin Miller Final. The field will be drawn tomorrow with the fillies who qualified, in alphabetical order: Have You Ever, Housethatruthbuilt, In The Shell, Invincible Dream, Ivy Swinger, Mystical Sunshine, Peaceful Way, Rant N Rave, Self Indulgent and Silver Springs.
