The Perretti group had a big day on Belmont day at Belmont Park in New York when their horse Forty Tales closed from well back in the field to win the $400,000 Woody Stephens Stakes. Perretti Racing Stable owns Forty Tales, who now has four wins in six career starts.

Swift fractions for the early part of the race set up the win with the big rally by Forty Tales over his 10 foes. The Todd Pletcher-trained horse out-kicked Declan's Warrior in 1:22.4 for the seven-furlong race. Joel Rosario rode Forty Tales.

It was the second consecutive graded stakes victory for Forty Tales, who won the Stephen Foster earlier this year.
