The three-horse raceoff in the Kentucky Filly Futurity turned into a one-horse show as Pizza Dolce drew clear to a six-length win in 1:53.1. Receiving a second chance after making a break behind in the gate in the second heat, Pizza Dolce took full advantage of the opportunity to post the victory.

With David Miller driving, Pizza Dolce got away last behind Armbro Affair and Southwind Flanders out of the gate but was sent to the top in the first turn and was able to seize control before the :28.4 quarter. Down the backstretch she opened up a two-length margin over her rivals, reaching the half in :55.2.

Around the final turn John Campbell moved Southwind Flanders around a tiring Armbro Affair (Ron Pierce) to make a bid at Pizza Dolce, but it was to no avail.

The winning Pizza Dolce is a daughter of Conway Hall owned by David McDuffee, Peter McCann and Robert Pierze and trained by Brett Pelling.
