Ponder, with strong urging from driver John Campbell, edged Buckeye One in the final strides to tie the all-time Delaware track record and world record of 1:49 set by Jet Laag over the same track in 1999 in the $77,800 Winbak Pace for older horse pacers. He Wants It All finished third.

A 5-year-old son of The Panderosa, Ponder is trained by Bob McIntosh, who shares ownership with CSX Stable and John Fielding. A winner of more than $1.4 million, Ponder has a career mark of 1:48.1 set earlier this year at the Meadowlands in the U.S. Pacing Championship.
