PPk slots open Saturday

Pompano Park has passed state inspection and announced late Friday it will open its slots area Saturday morning. In a release issued by owner Isle of Capri Casinos Inc., it stated the parlor will open at 10 a.m.

“It has been a long time coming, and we are so excited to greet our guests with smiles and show off this fabulous facility,” said Doug Shipley, corporate vice president racino operations/general manager. “Our guests will enjoy the most exciting, fun, casino and racing experience in the area, enhanced with customer service second to none.”

The casino currently contains:

1,500 slots including favorites Hot Hot Super Jackpot, Wheel of Fortune, Double Double Bonus, Cash Man, and Hot Hot Penny ;

two restaurants – Isle Buffet and Myron’s, a full-service New York-style delicatessen; and a multi-story feature bar, Fling, offering vibrant high action imagery and audio on multiple video displays.


The casino will be open Sunday through Thursday, 9 a.m to 1 a.m.; Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. Myron’s will open everyday at 8 a.m.; Isle Buffet will be open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

A 34-table poker room; new racing amenities including a high-tech sports bar, wagering area over-looking the track and a new Winner\'s Circle; as well as two additional restaurants, Bragozzo Osteria Wine Bar, a gourmet Italian eatery created by accomplished chef Luke Palladino, and Farraddays’ steakhouse, are expected to open in the next few weeks.
