Press conference called to address Kentucky\'s equine industry

A press conference on the current state of the equine industry in Kentucky has been scheduled at Churchill Downs on Wednesday, May 20, at 1:30 p.m. Those on hand to address the current threats to--and possible solutions for--the industry and the need for legislative action will be: Joe Costa, president and CEO of The Red Mile; Bob Evans, president and CEO of Churchill Downs Inc.; Nick Nicholson, president and CEO of Keeneland Association; Bob Elliston, president and CEO of Turfway Park; Ron Geary, owner-president of Ellis Park; Corey Johnsen, president of Kentucky Downs; Rick Hiles, president of Kentucky Horsemen’s Benevolent and Protective Association Inc.; and David Richardson, president of the Kentucky Thoroughbred Association and Kentucky Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders.
