The doors of the brand new gaming facility at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway will open to the public on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 10:00 a.m., but the media got a sneak peak on Wednesday (Jan. 14).

The newly designed facility includes more than 1,300 video gaming machines, also known as VGMs, two restaurants, a bar and food court on the gaming floor, a gift shop, and a variety of guest services.

Through a contractual agreement, Delaware North Companies Inc., a leading hospitality and entertainment management group headquartered in Buffalo, N.Y., and a former operator of Buffalo Raceway, Latonia Race Course and Wheeling Downs, will be managing all VGMs and food and beverage locations on site.

Construction on the new gaming facility began on Aug. 25, 2003, and will cost $15 million. The space encompasses 55,000 square feet of which 20,000 square feet is new construction and 35,000 square feet of existing grandstand space that was renovated.
