Elbridge T. \"Ebby\" Gerry Jr., a director of the Hambletonian Society and president of the Harness Racing Museum & Hall of Fame, has been voted the Proximity Award by the membership of the U.S. Harness Writers Association.

Gerry is already a member of the Living Hall of Fame, having been voted into that pantheon in 1994. He has participated in the Billings Amateur Driving Series since its inception 26 years ago, and is a Director of the Delvin Miller Amateur Driving Association, which operates the Billings competition.
Gerry has been a director of the Hambletonian Society since 1965, and currently serves as First Vice-President. Gerry is a partner in the New York City private bank Brown Brothers Harriman & Company.
