Purpose Blue Chip (Dan Daley) captured the $4,800 featured trot at Vernon Downs on Wednesday (June 17).
American JJ (Michael Miller) went to the first quarter in :27.1. Purpose Blue Chip ($2.10) took the lead right after the quarter. He used a :29.2 second quarter to hit the half in :56.3. American JJ tried to keep up but Purpose Blue Chip cruised to three-quarters in 1:25.
Purpose Blue Chip, who is trained by Daley for owners Ann-Mari Daley, Donald Brenner, and James Crawford IV, grabbed a three length lead as they reached the stretch. The battle was for second as Purpose Blue Chp won in a lifetime best of 1:54.2. The battle for place went to Getting Serious (Roman Lopez). Give Angel Credit ( Joe Nassimos) came up to get third.
