Raceway has big Ohio Sires Stakes night

Raceway Park held an Ohio Sires Stakes extravanganza of sorts Sunday night (Aug. 18), with 8 of the 12 races on the card Sires Stakes for both sexes and gaits of 2 year olds.
 
The fastest of the winners was naturally a competitor in the 2-year-old pacing colt division. Rocket Beau, a son of 2001 Adios winner Pine Valley, won by a neck over Friskie Adam in 1:56.4. Chris Page drove Rocket Beau for trainer Brian Brown, whose wife, Jennifer, owns the winner with Beau Brown and Richard Lombardo. The win was his second in five starts this season, with the time a lifetime mark.
 
Chip Noble trains and drives the runner-up Friskie Adam.
