Rocknroll Hanover colt fastest in Scioto 2YO action

Pet Rock scampered to a 4-1/2 length victory in her 1:58 qualifier at Scioto Downs on Tuesday, fastest of the day’s extensive action for 2-year-olds. The Rocknroll Hanover colt was driven by Kayne Kauffman for trainer Lester Clemmons.
 
Kauffman put Pet Rock in the pocket behind Dontcallatall (Shark Gesture) and wheeled out in the final quarter Pet Rock won handily with a final panel in :28.2. He is a son of the Artsplace mare Casual Beauty and was making his first career start. He was a $60,000 yearling at Harrisburg last fall.
 
Other pacing winners in baby races were Special Lady D (Stand Forever) 1:59; Cindy’s Flower (Ponder) 1:59.1; American Friskie (Feelin Friskin) 1:59.3; Little Friskie (Feelin Friskie) 2:00; What A Smile (I Am A Fool) 2:01.2; and Gun Show (Feelin Friskie) 2:01.3.
 

Among the first-seasons, the winners were Pardon Adonna (Jailhouse Jesse) 2:05.1; Cinca De Miya (Ilooklikemymom) 2:05.2; Credit Memory (Revenue) 2:08.1; and Advocate Hanover (Broadway Hall) 2:10.1. (Scioto)
